Experience the breathtaking Everest region in Nepal with Nobel Holidays’ exclusive Everest Luxury trek, featuring an exhilarating helicopter tour! During this amazing trip, you’ll be able to experience short trekking through the Sagarmatha National Park and enjoy an adventurous helicopter ride over Everest Base Camp and the mighty Khumbu Glacier. During this trekking package in Nepal, only luxury accommodations will be booked to make your stay more memorable.

What can you expect?

The Everest Luxury trek with helicopter tour in Nepal is not just about luxury but about sharing a unique experience in the Himalayas. It all starts with a welcome at the airport by our team. After settling into your luxury hotel in Kathmandu, Nobel Holidays invites you for dinner at a traditional Nepalese restaurant with a live culture show.

During the second day of the trip, Nobel Holidays takes you on a guided sightseeing tour around Kathmandu. We’ll be sightseeing around some of the most famous points in Kathmandu. Including ancient Hindu temples and spiritual Buddhist stupas, during this UNESCO sightseeing tour in Kathmandu you’ll be able to learn, see and roam throughout historic places such as the Boudhanath Stupa, the Pashupatinath Temple, the Swayambunath Stupa, and old Kathmandu’s Durbar (palace) Square.

To visit these 4 sightseeing points in Kathmandu, we’ll be on the way for most of the day. In the late afternoon, we’ll go over our trekking route for the Everest Luxury trek with a helicopter tour to make sure everything is in check. If you require any additional trekking gear, Thamel is your best bet. Our staff can guide you to some of the best trekking gear outlets where you can buy or rent some additional trekking equipment.

Lukla Airport, the gateway to Mt Everest:

Lukla Airport, listed as the 38th highest airport in the world, is our first stop. We’ll be flying from Kathmandu to Lukla in the morning. Only a few selected pilots are allowed to land and take off here due to its unique airstrip on the side of a cliff! While the flight itself is quite scenic, the landing can get thrilling. The town itself is quite small, exactly what you might expect from a trans-Himalayan hillside town. Filled with hotels, restaurants (serving both national and international dishes), and souvenir shops, the town makes for the perfect place to set off on our trek. We will not be overnighting here, but will meet up with our porter team and prepare to trek to our first overnight destination at Phakding village.

The route to Namche Bazaar:

Phakding village lies at a lower elevation compared to Lukla, making the first part of the Everest Luxury trek with helicopter tour quite easygoing. For the most part, we’ll be following the Dudh Khosi River until crossing and reaching Phakding. It’s from here that the journey will get a lot more strenuous as we head for Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa capital. Our first stop is at Manjo village. Serving as a permit check post and as gate town into the Sagarmatha National Park, it makes for a perfect place to take a break.

After a short rest and having all our permits checked, we continue. The trail goes through lush jungles filled with Himalayan fauna and flora. Passing by various waterfalls and crisscrossing the raging river adds to the adventure! The trail leads ever upwards until reaching the border of the jungle. Before us, the mighty Himalayas appear, and the jungle makes way for that iconic rocky Himalayan landscape. Namche Bazaar is just a short distance away.

Namche Bazaar, aka the Sherpa capital:

Located on the hillside, Namche Bazaar’s colorful rooftops shine brightly in the sunlight. Entering the town is like stepping into an amazing Himalayan village filled with shops, restaurants, and hotels. We’ll be staying at one of the luxury resorts. As we are reaching to 3,000m/9,843ft it’s important to take a day for acclimatization.

There is a lot to see at Namche Bazaar; there are multiple German Bakeries, the Sherpa Museum, countless photo spots, and the highest located Irish pub in the world! Besides roaming and exploring around Namche Bazaar, we’ll do an acclimatizing hike and explore around the Khumjung Valley.

The Everest View Hotel, one of the best viewpoints:

A bit further and at a higher elevation than Namche Bazaar is Syangboche. Here, a unique hotel was built with unique and, frankly, some of the best views of Mt Everest, Mt Nuptse, Mt Lhotse, etc. The Hotel Everest View is where we’ll hold a hike during our acclimatization day. The hike is quite easygoing and passes by ridges and various yak herds. The hotel has its own helipad and serves as a breakfast spot for the classic Everest Helicopter tour.

Holding the 2004 world record for the highest placed hotel in the world, you can imagine the views from up there. We’ll be enjoying a hot beverage here before making our way down the Khumjung Valley and visiting Khumjung village, housing the alleged Yeti skull and the Khumjung School founded by Sir Edmund Hillary’s trust. In the afternoon, we’ll be making our way back to Namche Bazaar and preparing for your helicopter tour.

The helicopter tour over Everest Base Camp to Kala Pathar:

We take off from Namche Bazaar with the helicopter and fly over the Himalayan landscapes. The views, just breathtaking! You’ll be flying not over, but through the Himalayan Mountains, getting a bird’s-eye view of the entire area. Our destination? Kala Pathar, a blackish hill overlooking Mt. Everest and its surrounding peaks. While we’ll not be landing at Everest Base Camp, we will fly over, allowing you to see the longest glacier in Nepal, the Khumbu Glacier, from above.

Everest Base Camp serves as a first camp for Everest summiteers or as a last stop on the classical Everest Base Camp trek for trekkers. Every year, plus or minus 40,000 people visit Everest Base Camp! Since the 2015 earthquake and due to the rapid melting of the Khumbu Glacier, Base Camp was moved to a lower elevation. We, however, will be flying over it and head straight to Kala Pathar. Located on a blackish hill, and with a height of 5,550m/18,204ft this hill is the highest point during the Everest Luxury trek with helicopter tour!

Normally taking at least 5 days of trekking to reach here. We make the trip in just under an hour via helicopter. The views from here are even better than at Base Camp. Mt Everest, Mt Changtse, and Mt Nuptse are the main highlights and come really good in view. In order to avoid AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness), we can’t stay longer and fly back straight to Lukla, where our porters will be waiting for us with our gear. The next day, we fly back to Kathmandu by airplane.

A once-in-a-lifetime experience:

Being back in Kathmandu gives such a surreal feeling. Moments ago you were amongst the mighty Himalayas in a peaceful, natural and quiet environment. And then, next, back into the bustling urban city of Nepal’s capital. Nobel Holidays makes sure you get enough time to reminisce as we hold a farewell dinner with the team to celebrate your accomplishments!
