Our story

We didn’t learn these trails from a map.

Himalaya Ascent began with a handful of guides raised in the valleys they now walk with you. The belief that started it is simple: the mountains deserve to be met slowly, safely, and with someone who reads both the weather and the people.

We stay small on purpose. Every itinerary is shaped by hand, paced around real acclimatization, and backed by First-Aid-trained leads and round-the-clock support.

Why travelers trust us

They paced our Everest days perfectly. I never felt pushed, and the guide caught my early altitude signs before I did.

Local knowledge you simply cannot fake. By day three on the Annapurna Circuit, Pemba's team felt like old friends.

Booked Manaslu almost last minute and still got a private, flexible plan. The support line was answered every time.

Questions, answered honestly

I'm new to trekking. Where should I start?+
Tell us your fitness, time, and what pulls you, big views, culture, or solitude. We'll match you to a route, from gentle valley walks to serious high passes, and never oversell the hard ones.
How do you keep travelers safe at altitude?+
Every lead guide is First-Aid trained and carries an oximeter, oxygen, and a rescue plan. Itineraries build in acclimatization days, and we'd rather turn back early than push a bad call.
Can trips be fully private and customized?+
Yes, most travelers go private. Pick your dates and pace and we'll build around you, add rest days, comfort lodges, or a heli return as you like.
What should my travel insurance cover?+
It's required. Make sure it covers high-altitude emergencies, helicopter evacuation, and trip delays or cancellations. We'll coordinate with your provider if needed.
Do you run short trips and cultural tours too?+
Absolutely, day hikes, valley culture tours, wildlife safaris, and comfort-focused signature trips sit alongside the big treks.
Why book with Himalaya Ascent over a bigger agency?+
We stay small so you get owner-guides, honest advice, flexible payments, and a team that lives in these mountains year-round, not a call center.
